Plague Times Trilogy 1
John Murray
2014

A fatal epidemic nicknamed "the sweats" is starting to take hold of the UK. In London, Stevie Flint, a former journalist and now a shopping channel presenter, finds her boyfriend dead. And she doesn't believe "the sweats" killed him.
I’m a huge fan of Louise Welsh. This is somewhat of a departure for her. I don’t like plague and pestilence plots, but am always horribly gripped by them. If you haven’t read anything by her before then start with The Cutting Room, her first book.

Ahhh. This is exactly the type of thing I love to read! Now I don’t feel so bad for admitting on the last post that I’m currently reading a marathon of Ian Rob Wright books. 🙂

Iain Rob Wright and Louise Welsh are rather different writers (he says tactfully).

Yes… but fatal epidemics, pandemics, bio-terrorism, apocalyptic, dystopia, medical thrillers; all are more my current preferred subject of reading than other genres.
