Things I learnt:
- Pastry isn’t a dairy product
- UK urinals are too high
- Fluorescent orange is actually “tangerine”
- Americans don’t wear coats in the winter
- Why have one bathroom when you can have two
- The Post Office will change old currency
- Why have one oven when you can have two
- Google maps doesn’t work in London
A jolly time was had by all – thank you again. Safe travels.
David says:
It was great fun, we need to do that more often.
What did I learn.
You would love a second bathroom
Cooking is a chore
You read more emails than /;/;/;
12 years is the blink of an eye between old friends
Google maps will lead you away from your destination in London
It is possible to go to London, just to spend an evening with old friends
British trains are unreliable
Oyster cards will survive the apocalypse
My fluorescent shoes were not an impediment to entry (the only place that ever turned me away based on dress code was Maxims in Paris.)
We need to do this more often

Good friends can pick up where they left off 12years later
My shoes didn’t get me turned away at the door.. the only place that ever refused me entry based on dress, was Maxims in Paris, it was worth it be able to tell that story 30 years later.
